Stunning 1.6m Kanuka Maori Taiaha on Kauri Stand - one only available Kapa Haka Costumes for Schools called pikoruaThis 1. 6 metre long Maori Taiaha is absolutely stunning. Made from native Kanuka timber, it is beautifully carved and finished. Note the black tongue on the taiaha, made by ebonising the timber carefully scorching the timber until it bubbles and goes black. Such a cool feature!
